Art

Art I is currently working on proportions of the human body. The students are making Maquettes that will later be attached to the ceiling. Art II and III students are working on Book Projects. The Art II students are creating a book while the Art III are altering an existing book.

 

Choir

Varsity choir members have recently auditioned for the Texas All-State Choir. Lori McDermett, Landon Wolfe, and Luke VanVessem all earned seats in the choir. All choirs are currently preparing for UIL competition.

 

Theatre

Theatre is now working on their UIL One Act Play (OAP). This year, they will be performing The Book of Everything. They will begin competing in March.

 

Band

The Raider Pride Winter Guard competed in their first competition ever this past weekend. The members took second place in Novice Division. They are led by Director Jana Crosslin and Director Tabbatha Brooks. On Jan. 7, the band sent 18 members to compete for a spot in the All-State Band. Of the 18, six members were able to make it into the band.  Congratulations to Vivian Tang, Jacob  Miller, Andrew Miller, Logan Jacobs,Lilly Kirby, and Jenning Thian.
