Class officers were elected on Fri., Sept. 2.  The candidates for each grade had a week to campaign and gave speeches the week prior to the election in the  SHS gym. Each candidate spoke about what they planned to do for their grade and why the students should vote for them.

“All I want is to make to our class stronger as a whole, and to do that we need to be closer,” junior class President Laith Mustafa said. “As of right now I feel like our class is divided into different groups and by the end of the year I’m hoping that changes.”

Landry Hunter won for the second time in a row as class president of the sophomore class. Last year, she made many improvements to the freshman class such as making their field day an interactive/fun event.

“Our goal is to give the sophomore class a voice and to serve them to the best of our abilities,” Hunter said. “We know that our peers have great ideas that need to be expressed.” Landry and her vice president Helayna Barber want the sophomore class to express their concerns and be open with them about any issue they have going on.

The following candidates are your SHS class officers. For the freshman class your class officers are President: Tripp McAda, Vice President: Charlotte Barr, Secretary: Daniel a Marcor, Treasurer: Ashley Diaz, and Representative: McKinley Ream.
